
Dr. Esteban Sandoval received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Oklahoma and Doctorate of Optometry degree from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
Upon completing his externships, he worked at a private ophthalmology practice in Harlem and the Bronx in New York City, providing comprehensive eye care in a high ocular disease population, post-operative care for cataract extraction surgery and glaucoma surgery, and pediatric eye exams. Afterwards, Dr. Sandoval joined the Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine where he provided urgent eye care, comprehensive eye exams, and post-operative care.
One accomplishment Dr. Sandoval takes pride in is his prior work in remote villages of Alaska where he provided eye care to the underserved Native population.
Dr. Sandoval has a special interest in cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, laser vision correction, allergic conjunctivitis, computer vision syndrome, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye.
From routine eye exams to medical and beyond, Dr. Sandoval offers experience, knowledge, skill and compassion during interactions with his patients. He is caring and committed to achieving the best results.

Dr. Lu is a Colorado native. She received her BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from CU Boulder in 2015 while achieving the Dean’s list.
Dr. Lu obtained her Doctorate in Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 2021. During her time at SCCO, she was a member and historian of the Spanish Optometric Society. She gained extensive experience in ocular disease during her fourth-year externship. She was able to extern at various clinics such as the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, University Eye Center in Los Angeles, California, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, Arizona, and Ketchum Health in Anaheim, California.
Dr. Lu is currently living with her family in Westminster, CO. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, attending concerts, DJing, and cycling.

Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Dr. Hey graduated from Texas A&M University in 1998. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2002. After graduating, he moved to Colorado and has been in practice for 19 years.
Dr. Hey is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Colorado Optometric Association, and the Leadership Optometry Program of the Colorado Optometric Association, as well as a Legislative Key Person for the COA.
Dr. Hey specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical co-management of several eye diseases, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. He is a Certified Wave Lens Designer and has a particular interest in orthokeratology and scleral contact lens fitting.
